With ESG an ever more important part of business strategy and operations, companies are looking for premises which help them both deliver their objectives and provide clear metrics to help them communicate to their own audiences. Environmental responsibility and community have always been the foundations of Croxley Park, but the challenge was to take something that was quietly embedded in the DNA and give it a face and a voice. To create an identity that encapsulated ESG, was visible around the park and which could communicate the objectives, actions and results with clarity.
Our concept is based on the idea of an ecosystem; ‘Planet Croxley’. Ecosystems affects every aspect of an environment, so we created a flexible solution which would work for all the elements of ESG at Croxley Park – from energy saving measures to biodiversity to community events. In addition the visual identity system needed to be applied in a multitude of ways; to the physical environment (buildings, amenities & landscapes), communications (website, posters, occupier app & social media), data and metrics (for the purpose of analysis and reporting) and products (things that would encourage residents to get involved).
Creating a sub-brand for ESG has enabled Croxley Park to communicate its policy, goals and achievements with clarity. This has made it easy for potential occupiers to quickly access the information they require to make decisions about their future business location. Existing residents also use this data to help them deliver and report on their own ESG targets. Planet Croxley has provided visibility for activity on the Park and resulted in increased take-up of initiatives and activities. Over time it is hoped that it will help positively influence the behaviour of individuals.
ESG is not only a prerequisite for companies looking to relocate, but also for the productivity, wellness and happiness of the nation’s workforce.
